GOTO MITSUNAGA: A CHARMING SHIBUICHI TSUBA WITH JUROJIN AND MINOGAME By Goto Mitsunaga, signed Naka Goto Mitsunaga with kao Japan, 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868) Of marugata form, with one kogai and kozuka hitsu ana, the shibuichi migakiji (polished) ground inlaid in gold, silver, and shakudo depicting to one side Jurojin holding a cane which suspends scrolls, a crane flying above, and the reverse with a minutely carved minogame at the shore. Signed to one side NAKA GOTO MITSUNAGA with kao.
