GYOKUHO: A MASSIVE SILVER- AND COPPER-INLAID BRONZE ‘PAIRED CROSS’ VASE By Gyokuho, signed Gyokuho with kakihan Japan, early 20th century, Taisho period (1912-1926) to early Showa period (1926-1989) Finely cast, the ovoid body supported on a flared foot, with a stepped shoulder rising to a trumpet mouth. The exterior finished with a finely polished, chocolate brown patina, decorated on opposing sides with two cross emblems inlaid in silver and copper. The underside signed GYOKUHO with kakihan. HEIGHT 32.3 cm, DIAMETER 16.6 cm
