拍品描述
A FINE BRONZE OKIMONO OF A TIGER Japan, late 19th century, Meiji period (1868-1912) Skillfully cast in a poised, predatory stance, with the limbs flexed and the tail raised in a sinuous sweep. The head is lowered in a threatening attitude, its gaze fixed forward with alert intensity. The body is further enlivened by the carefully rendered stripes of the coat and crisply modeled, clawed paws, while the surface displays a fine, naturally developed dark patina. WEIGHT 1,252 g HEIGHT 14.7 cm, LENGTH 22.8 cm
