A LARGE AND IMPRESSIVE BRONZE ‘MIMIKUCHI’ IKEBANA FLOWER VASE Japan, dated 1906 Massively cast, with a flattened globular body supported on a spreading foot and rising through gently sloping shoulders to a waisted neck and a broad circular mouth with a tapered rim, flanked on opposite sides by two large ear-shaped handles. The exterior is decorated in shallow relief with a pair of spiral motifs on each flank. The bronze surface exhibiting a lustrous, naturally developed, fine patina.
