Circa 29th March 1879 A.D. Four poison bottles recovered from a British dump, comprising three in blue glass and one in green, two with 'NOT TO BE TAKEN' impressed to one side. 246 grams total, 7.1-14.5 cm (2 3/4 - 5 3/4 in.). [4, No Reserve] Found by local Zulu people living at Khambula, South Africa, 1990s-early 2000s. Ian Wilkinson collection, Nottinghamshire, UK, formed since 1985. The battle resulted in a heavy defeat for the Zulus, who had been full of confidence from their earlier victories against the British at Isandlwana and Hlobane.
