Circa 29th March 1879 A.D. Comprising two intact glass port and wine bottles, imported for British officers and troops. 1.58 kg total, 29.3-29.5 cm (11 1/2 - 11 5/8 in.). [2, No Reserve] Found by local Zulu people living at Khambula, South Africa, 1990s-early 2000s. Ian Wilkinson collection, Nottinghamshire, UK, formed since 1985. The battle resulted in a heavy defeat for the Zulus, who had been full of confidence from their earlier victories against the British at Isandlwana and Hlobane.
