Circa 14th-15th century A.D. Discoid with satellite discs to the rim, border with roundels, bearded head of John the Baptist in the centre. Cf. [No Reserve] From a retired Lincolnshire, UK, gentleman's collection, a long time member of the Pewter Society. John was beheaded at the insistence of Salome, and his head was presented to her on a platter.
