Cut Glass Center Bowl. William Comyns & Sons English silver gilt mounted cut glass footed center bowl displaying an ornate border with putti, dolphins, flowers, insects and Northwind masks. The scrolling handles are accented by a single lizard and seated toad. With a maker's mark of William Comyns & Sons, London, 1904. The total approx. weight of the bowl in its entirety, including the glass insert, is 26.46 troy ounces (gross). From a Manhattan, NY estate. Dimensions: center bowl measures approx. 13.5" w x 7.75" d x 3.125" h. 品相: Good, with light surface scratches and minor dings/dents. Please examine the provided photos to thoroughly evaluate each piece. Due to the manner in which the piece is constructed, it is not feasible to accurately determine the separate weight of the cut glass bowl and the gilt silver frame without undertaking bench work. This would require disassembly, which I will not be pursuing under any circumstances particularly given the risks involved when working with glass. Updated 3/25/26
