A pair of Austro-Hungarian .800 silver Shabbat candlesticks. Each candlestick features a tall, tapering standard with richly cast and chased decoration, including lobed and fluted baluster elements and scrolling foliate motifs throughout. The stepped bases are formed with faceted panels and are supported by projecting foliate feet, each terminating in stylized mask and scroll motifs. The candlesticks are stamped with a pictorial purity mark of a Dianakopf in the 3rd standard. Total approx. weight is 29.37 troy oz (gross). From a Rye, NY estate.
