Ca. 206 BC - AD 220. A terracotta figure of a female long sleeve dancer, standing on a flared base formed by the spread of her skirt, with the arms raised and the elongated sleeves extending forward. The head is modelled with arched brows and narrow eyes, the hair arranged in a long fall down the back. She wears a traditional shenyi robe, with layered collars crossing at the chest and long, ample sleeves over a floor-length skirt. Size: 505mm x 225mm; Weight: 5.21kg Provenance: UK private collection; formerly acquired in the early 1990s in Hong Kong. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
