Ca. 2250 - 2000 BC. A large terracotta askos with a globular body and a flattened base. A broad, tubular spout projects from the shoulder, rising to a flaring mouth with a thickened lip. Size: 280mm x 330mm; Weight: 6.1kg Provenance: From a private London collection; previously acquired in Paris, France; originally part of a private French collection based in Montpellier, assembled between the 1970s and 1990s.
