Ca. 3rd - 2nd millennium BC. A collection of seven terracotta idols, including, from top left: three avian idols, each with a rounded body raised on two short legs, and an upright neck with a pinched head; an anthropomorphic figure seated on a flat base, with a rounded head and long arms; a cruciform idol with a columnar body, outstretched arms, and a pinched head; a slightly abstract head; and an elongated figure with a long neck, a simplified head, and applied pellet eyes. Size: 45-120mm x 35-70mm; Weight: 450g Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1980s.
