清 白玉雕喜上眉梢太平有象活環耳蓋瓶 紫檀底座 The vase is of elegant baluster form rising from a short foot to a waisted neck, set with a pair of elephant-head handles suspending loose rings. The body is finely carved in low relief with a prunus tree and a magpie beneath the moon, depicting the auspicious motif xishang meishao. The stone is of a soft celadon-white tone with a smooth, lustrous polish. The cover is surmounted by an openwork finial. Together with the elephant motif symbolizing taiping youxiang, the vessel conveys layered auspicious meaning. With zitan stand. Qing Dynasty period.
