清中期 白玉荷葉海螺洗 紫檀嵌銀線木座 The vessel naturalistically carved as a large, furled lotus leaf forming a shallow basin, the exterior skillfully rendered with delicate veining and further adorned with a smaller conch shell and a lotus pod nestled against the rim. The stone is of an exceptionally celadonish white tone with a subtle waxy luster and a smooth, translucent quality. With a finely carved zitan 'lotus' stand inlaid with silver wires that match the jade. Mid-Qing Dynasty period.
