Ca. AD 1500 - 1600. A brass alloy ewer with a pear-shaped body on a low splayed foot, a long tapering neck, and a flaring mouth with a flat rim. The exterior is engraved with stylised vegetal motifs in vertical registers, framed by beaded borders and interspersed with plain panels. Around the rim and upper neck are scrolling foliate bands, divided by a narrow raised collar. The shoulder is encircled by a further foliate band, flanked above and below by narrow registers of almond-shaped motifs. Further bands encircle the lower body and the foot, with a frieze of elongated ovals between the registers.
