The stone skillfully worked in relief utilizing the darker areas to depict a scholar and his attendant gathering lingzhi amid rockwork, The reverse inscribed with a poem. Finely carved, characteristic of Suzhou workmanship. With a green glass stopper. Qing Dynasty period.
