Ca. 350 - 300 BC. A pair of terracotta jugs, each with a flaring disc mouth, a short neck, and a piriform body on a stepped foot, with a single small loop handle set at the shoulder. The exterior is glazed black, the necks decorated with added red and white, including a broad red band framed by thin lines, and bordered above and below by short-stroke ornament. Size: 120-120mm x 90-95mm; Weight: 505g Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired on the English art market; originally in the collection of W Jenikin, London 1980?s.
