Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A terracotta krater with a wide flaring rim, a short neck, a bell-shaped body, and a pair of lug handles set at the shoulder, on a short stem above a circular foot. The decoration is arranged in horizontal zones, with broad dark bands at the rim and across the mid-body. One side shows a laurel-leaf spray, the other an ivy tendril. Size: 220mm x 240mm; Weight: 1.1kg Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired on the Belgian art market; originally in the collection of P V D Elst, Liege 1980?s.
