Ca. AD 1800 - 1900. A silver ring with a flaring flat-section hoop supporting a high oval mount, set with an amethyst cabochon held by short prongs at the cardinal points. The mount is encircled by a beaded collar and a broad flange with triangles of fine granules spaced by pellets, and the shoulders are decorated with raised motifs within incised roundels.
