PAIR OF EGYPTIAN WOODEN ROWERS

Middle Kingdom, Ca. 2055 - 1790 BC. A pair of wooden rowers, each carved as a seated male figure with a rounded head and short wig. The shoulders are drilled laterally for the attachment of separate arms, and the lower body is cut as a rectangular block.
