Late Period to Ptolemaic Period, Ca. 664 - 30 BC. A faience amulet of Taweret standing on a rectangular base, the hippopotamus head modelled with an open mouth and rounded muzzle beneath a striated wig. The body is modelled with pendulous breasts and a prominent belly, the arms held close to the sides, and the back with a tapering crocodile tail, with a loop for suspension.
