Ca. AD 1250 - 1400. A copper alloy horse harness pendant, shield-shaped with an integral suspension loop, enamelled gules on both faces. One with a cross recercel?e within a narrow border; the other with a fess between three fleurs-de-lis, two in chief and one in base. Size: 42mm x 35mm; Weight: 31g Provenance: From the private collection of an Essex gentleman; previously in an old British Collection, formed before 2000.
