EGYPTIAN STONE CAT AMULET

Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A stone amulet carved as a seated cat on a rectangular base. The raised head is turned to the left, with drilled eyes and a lightly cut muzzle, perforated for suspension. The backside is flat. Size: 20mm x 20mm; Weight: 3.4g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Switzerland; formerly with C.B. collection, 1970s-1990s.
