Late Period, Ca. 664 - 332 BC. A mottled green stone amulet carved as a recumbent cat on a flat base, the forelegs extended and the head turned to the right. The face is simplified, with deep drilled eyes and a lightly incised muzzle beneath tall triangular ears. Size: 26mm x 19mm; Weight: 4.8g Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Switzerland; formerly with C.B. collection, 1970s-1990s.
