Ca. 30 BC - AD 200. A blue-glazed faience amulet of the dwarf deity Pataikos shown squatting on two crocodiles above a rectangular plinth. The hands are held before the torso, each grasping a snake, the head with a close-fitting cap. Two birds perch on the shoulders facing forwards, and the flanks are occupied by two goddess figures, the group backed by a tall dorsal pillar. Size: 60mm x 25mm; Weight: 20g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with M. Koening collection, Brussels, Belgium 1990s-2010.
