Ca. 300 - 100 BC. A collection of three goddess idols, including, from left to right: a squat figure with a cuboid head and schematised facial features, the arms folded across the chest above broad thighs and feet with incised toes; a goddess with a squared head with incised eyes and mouth, the arms set along the sides and the lower body with thick, closely-set legs; and an idol carved with the arms wrapped around the neck, the head with slit eyes and a prominent nose, short legs with a pendulous abdomen above. Size: 60-70mm x 25-30mm; Weight: 190g Provenance: Property of an London art professional; previously in an old 1970's Canadian collection.
