Ca. 300 - 100 BCA limestone seated idol carved from a rectangular block, with the legs fused into a solid base and the forearms brought forward so that the clenched hands are held above the knees. The rounded head rises from the shoulders, the stylised face with a triangular nose, drilled eyes within incised almond-shaped contours and a small mouth.Size: 180mm x 90mm; Weight: 1.7kg.Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with G.
