Late Uruk - Jemdet Nasr, Ca. 3300 - 2900 BC. A marble figure of a recumbent calf, carved with folded legs beneath a rounded body and a short tail drawn down the haunch. The head is modelled with a rounded muzzle and drilled eyes, with inlaid lapis lazuli details to the eyes and as tri-lobed inlays across the body. The back is pierced with a circular perforation.
