Ca. 2nd millennium BC. A collection of three bronze axe heads, including, from left to right: an axe head with a narrow rectangular blade and a short cylindrical socket set at right angles, the rear of the socket cast with a Master of Animals flanked by animals; an axe head with a crescent-shaped blade and a short cylindrical socket with moulded collars, each cheek cast with a rounded mask; and an axe head with a short tubular socket with reinforced collars at either end, the front cast as a lion?s head with open jaws projecting a crescent-shaped blade, the rear extending as a serrated fin-like panel pierced by a triangular opening and tapering to a pointed terminal.
