A bronze horse bit with a straight bar mouthpiece fitted through a pair of openwork cheekpieces, each cast with a central wheel surmounted by an ibex head with down-curving horns and flanked by slender panthers. Size: 100mm x 95mm; Weight: 405g Provenance: Property of an Oxfordshire art professional; previously in an old British collection, formed in the 1970s on the Canadian art market.
