GHAZNAVID COPPER-INLAID BRONZE BASIN WITH CUSPED RIM AND INSCRIPTIONS

Ca. AD 1100 - 1300. A bronze basin with a flat base and rounded sides rising to a flaring, fifteen-sided cusped rim. The interior is centred by a rosette, encircled by six copper-inlaid roundels and a narrow band of stylised inscription. The rim is inlaid with a benedictory inscription in elongated naskh.
