Ca. 19th Century. A finely curved yataghan steel sword features a broad, forward-weighted blade that tapers to an acute point, its softly mottled surface bearing witness to age and use. The hilt, mounted with characteristic ?eared? grips of polished horn in warm amber tones, is secured by a chased gilt collar. The scabbard is fully clad in repouss? metal, densely engraved with scrolling foliage and floral arabesques arranged in symmetrical panels. Together, these elements embody the refined Ottoman aesthetic, seamlessly blending functional lethality with sumptuous ornamental detail.
