Ca. AD 1300 - 1400. A pair of terracotta objects, including: a circular bowl tondo fragment, the upper face slightly recessed, with a green-glazed roundel painted in black with a stylised frontal face within concentric bands and radiating strokes; and a green-glazed oil lamp with a shallow reservoir and pinched spout above a cylindrical stem with a moulded collar, set on a circular drip tray. Size: 30-130mm x 85-85mm; Weight: 425g Provenance: Provenance: Property of a central London gallery; Ex collection of James Alfred Brew (1923 - 2008), collected in Cyprus during the 1960s. Thence by descent to Elaine Brew. Discovered in Paphos.
