Ca. AD 1300 - 1400. A glazed earthenware footed dish with a shallow well set above a short pedestal foot. The interior is coated in a brown glaze and decorated with a green wavy band running around the everted rim, with a stylised knot motif in green at the centre of the well. Size: 50mm x 125mm; Weight: 160g Provenance: Property of a central London gallery; Ex collection of James Alfred Brew (1923?2008), collected in Cyprus during the 1960s, thence by descent to Elaine Brew. Discovered in Elea. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
