Ca. AD 600. A bronze polycandelon formed of a flat, openwork disc with six evenly spaced large round apertures, interspersed with triangular projections with circular terminals. Suspension chains are attached at three points around the inner ring, converging in a central hook for hanging. Size: 275mm x 265mm; Weight: 755g Provenance: Private UK collection, acquired on the Dutch art market, pre 2000. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
