Ca. 600 - 400 BC. A bronze pyxis of cylindrical form with a close-fitting lid rising to a domed crown with a radiating rosette in relief. The body is decorated in relief with a continuous frieze of winged horses. The base has a further rosette. Size: 90mm x 100mm; Weight: 120g Provenance: From an old British collection formed in the 2000s; previously acquired in Germany. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
