Ca. 500 - 300 BC. A pair of gold cross appliqu?s, each formed from four larger circular plaques set at the cardinal points around a smaller central plaque. The outer plaques have a raised boss within radiating flutes, and at the centre is a smaller fluted roundel. Small perforations are pierced at the edges for attachment. Size: 18-18mm x 19-20mm; Weight: 1.14g Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired in Brussels, Belgium; initially from a Swiss private collection (1901?1981).
