Ca. 400 - 300 BC. A red-figure kylix with a shallow bowl, a pair of horizontal handles, and a tall stemmed foot. The tondo is decorated with two figures facing one another, a nude youth holding a staff and a draped woman, set within a band of meander. The exterior shows standing draped figures arranged in pairs around the bowl, with palmettes and scrolling tendrils between. Size: 110mm x 335mm; Weight: 730g Provenance: Private London collection; previously acquired on the English art market; originally in the collection of T Verlinden, London 1980?s.
