Ca. 350 BC. A red-figure lebes gamikos with a globular body on a short circular foot, the wide mouth closed by a flanged lid decorated with radiating rays and topped by a tall knop. A pair of high strap handles rises vertically from the shoulder. Side A shows a female head in profile, hair bound in a sakkos, two rosettes suspended above. Side B shows a swan with raised wings and stippled plumage, flanked by circular rosettes. Large fan-palmettes separate the panels.
