Ca. 540 BC. A terracotta hydria with a flaring mouth and a broad, cylindrical neck above rounded shoulders. The ovoid body tapers to a splayed foot, with two horizontal handles at the shoulder and a vertical strap handle at the rear. The neck is painted with a broad black band, the shoulder with a band of pendant buds, and the body painted with a black-figure frieze of two confronted roosters, set between two standing figures holding long staffs.
