New Kingdom to Late Period, Ca. 1550 - 332 BC. A collection of stone and faience scarabs and scaraboids, each drilled longitudinally, with rounded backs. The flat bases are engraved with linear signs, animals, human figures and hieroglyphic inscriptions. Size: 13-18mm x 8-15mm; Weight: 23g Provenance: Private UK collection; formerly with H. Smeets collection, Netherlands, late 1980s.
