Ca. AD 1200 - 1300. An iron long sword with a long, double-edged blade tapering to a sharp point, both faces with a fuller running for approximately three-quarters of the length and inlaid in gold with three cross motifs on each side. The crossguard of flattened rectangular section. The tang tapers to a mushroom pommel. For similar see: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Object Number: 07.53.2.
