Ca. AD 400 - 600. An iron sword with a long, straight, double-edged blade of lenticular section with parallel sides running to a very gradual point, the shoulders stepping to a short rectangular tang. Set against the base of the blade is a wide guard inlaid in cloisonn? with deep red garnets arranged in small geometric cells. For similar blade see: J. Jirik, K Blazkova, J. Bezakova, B.
