Ca. AD 1 - 300. An iron pugio with a waisted blade tapering to a sharp point and raised midrib, set above a straight guard and a cylindrical grip with a central bulb, terminating in a flattened pommel. Together with an iron scabbard formed of two plates, with a reinforced mouth and rectangular panels with raised bosses arranged in quincunx, fitted with paired suspension rings at the sides and a chape terminating in a disc finial.
