Ca. 1st millennium BC. A double-strand lapis lazuli and gold necklace. The strands are composed of drop-shaped and barrel-shaped lapis beads with gold spacer beads at intervals, secured by a hook-and-eye fitting. Size: 225mm x 30mm; Weight: 60g Provenance: Prince collection, 1990s-2014; Ex. Bonhams, 15 October 2008, Lot 286; Previously acquired in Europe in the early 1980s.
