Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A bronze sword with an integral hilt with a flaring pommel and a grip with a series of shallow scalloped notches along each side. The blade is long and tapering with a pronounced midrib, running to a sharp point. Size: 445mm x 50mm; Weight: 535g Provenance: Private UK collection; acquired in Belgium; formerly with J. Micas collection, Paris, France formed since the 1970s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter.
