Ca. AD 500. A silver bottle with a pear-shaped body rising to a short cylindrical neck with a raised collar and a flaring mouth. The body is decorated in repouss? with eight horizontal rows of floral motifs, each formed by two drop-shaped petals beneath a ringed boss. For similar see: The Cleveland Museum, 1962.294. Size: 305mm x 180mm; Weight: 1.76kg Provenance: Private London collection; acquired in Germany; formerly with Kurt Deppert collection, Munich, 1970s.
