Ca. 300 BC. An iron sword with a long, straight blade centred by a pronounced midrib, tapering to a point. The hilt has a short rectangular-section grip with a flaring pommel and a shallow guard, both with silver-inlaid decoration. Size: 650mm x 40mm; Weight: 570g Provenance: Private London collection; formerly in M. Ebnother collection, Switzerland,1980s. This item has been cleared against the Art Loss Register database and comes with a confirmation letter. This piece is accompanied by a historical report from Alessandro Neri, an international Cultural Heritage expert based in Florence, Italy.
