Ca. AD 1 - 300. A gold open-type ring with a rounded hoop, the exterior engraved with a chevron pattern imitating scales. One terminal expands into a stylised serpent's head, engraved with a central lozenge, with bands of closely spaced transverse cuts at the neck; the opposing end tapers to a pointed tail.
