SUPERB GREEK CORINTHIAN BRONZE HELMET

Ca. 400 - 200 BC. A very fine bronze helmet of Corinthian type, hammered from a single sheet, with a domed crown, a crest attachment at the apex, almond-shaped eye cutouts, and a prominent nose guard. A shallow ridge forms two arched lines above the eye openings and continues along the midsection. The sides flare outwards, and the rear curves into a neck guard.
